Moloka'i, Hawai'i
Pu'u o Hoku Ranch is a 14,000-acre working cattle ranch and retreat on the east end of Moloka'i, with operations spanning agriculture, hospitality, land stewardship, and one of the best guided axis deer hunts in the state. Our engagement covers both sides of the AI Architecture — the operations running the ranch, and the visibility of their hunt outfitter business in AI search.
Operations Architecture. We sat down with their Ranch Manager to map the back-office workflows slowing the team down — accounting and finance, hospitality management across guest lodging and retreat bookings, and the administrative tasks pulling leadership away from higher-value work. The goal: connect their existing tools, reduce manual data entry, and give leadership clearer visibility into day-to-day operations without adding headcount.
Visibility Architecture. The ranch's exclusive axis deer hunt is one of its most valuable offerings — and the answer engines had been mis-indexing Pu'u o Hoku as a retreat and organic farm, missing the hunting category entirely. A 15-prompt audit surfaced the citation gaps pushing competitors (some real, some hallucinated) into ChatGPT and Gemini's answers. A 90-day citation plan is in motion, with Watch-tier weekly re-audits tracking answer-share movement as the engines catch up.
